Cariou, Heather Summerhayes

Heather Summerhayes Cariou, born in Ontario, is the author of SixtyFive Roses, a Sister’s Memoir. The film rights for her book have been optioned by Desperate Housewives’ Eva Longoria. A former ballerina, trained at the National Ballet School of Canada, and award-winning stage actress, Heather always dreamed of being a writer. Her articles have been regularly published throughout Canada by Troy Media. Her parents founded the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Heather is a co-founding member of the Galaxy Writers Workshop in New Jersey, where she lives with her husband, actor Len Cariou, Tony Award winner, Emmy Award nominee, and co-star of the hit CBS series Blue Bloods, where he plays Tom Selleck’s father. Heather sat on the board of the International Women’s Writing Guild and was a founding member of the Ontario Youtheatre and the Center for Actor’s Study in Toronto.
